Whole Foods Bike Fest and BBQ

June 5, 2009 by RI BIke

Calling all bicyclists and anyone interested getting into cycling! Whole Foods Market University Heights ( 601 N. Main Street , Providence , RI ) is hosting a Bike Fest & BBQ on Friday, June 19th from 4pm to 7pm.

Ride on up to Whole Foods Market and network with folks including Recycle-A-Bike, Mechanics-a-Go-Go with free bike tune-ups, Commuter Resource RI, U.S. Open Cycling Foundation, and more. They’ll have extra parking for bikes and will be grilling outdoors! Save room for dessert!

Stop by the U.S. Open Cycling Foundation tent and make your own sundae for just $5.00. All proceeds will go to the U.S. Open Cycling Foundation to support programs for safe cycling programs for youth.

Recycle-a-Bike is also accepting bike donations of BMX style and middle school aged bicycles for its Build-a-Bike program that pairs middle schools with a bike and the skills to repair it. To learn more, visit  www.recycleabike.org
