South Kingston Cyclists Struck by Driver

The Providence Journal is reporting another cyclist was struck by a motorists a few days ago:

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — A South Kingstown bicyclist is recovering at Rhode Island Hospital after he was hit by a car Sunday night just off Route 1, near South County Hospital.

The crash happened in the area of Kenyon Avenue and Salt Pond Road around 9:30 Sunday night.

The bicyclist, 46-year-old John Lee of South Kingstown, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with what emergency officials described at the time as “serious injury.”

Lee was listed in good condition Monday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed, the police said.
