Signs Along the East Bay Bike Path

May 14, 2009 by RI BIke

stopsignOver the past few weeks, I’ve come to realize there are a LOT of stop signs missing at the intersections along the East Bay Bike Path.  This got me to thinking… before someone from DEM notices this and just replaces the signs, should we approach them and ask to have a study done to determine whether they should be replaced with yield signs?  yieldsignShould we let them replace the signs, but also add signs facing the motorists reminding them that they must legally stop for pedestrians AND bicycles in the crosswalks?  Or should we just do nothing and be glad that those intersections are now in limbo?

So here’s a quick poll, what do you think?

If you have any additional suggestions, please don’t hesitate to add a comment to this post.  Once I have a sense of the community heartbeat, I’ll see what I can do to get something moving.
