Your community bicycle repair and education collective, Recycle-a-Bike, is looking for your help to get back into action. We’ve got the space, the tools, the bikes, and even a full-time VISTA. All we need is you.
You are invited to attend a Community Forum and Volunteer Recruiting Event, hosted by Recycle-a-Bike on April 23rd 2009, at 7 PM at DARE (Direct Action for Rights and Equality) 340 Lockwood St, Providence, RI .
In attempt to overhaul Recycle-a-Bike, we are seeking new collective members, committed volunteers, and interested community organizers such as yourself to expand the organization. As a community bike collective, Recycle-a-Bike promotes bicycling as a safe, fun, sustainable, and empowering mode of transportation. We provide the greater Providence community access to the skills and resources to maintain, repair, and build bikes in a workspace where all are welcome.
If you are interested in seeing more bikes on the streets of Providence and providing greater access to the tools and skills to maintain your bike, we hope to see you at this event.
Come out, bring your friends, and help build a better biking future!
