For those who value the South County Bike Path, there is an important public hearing coming up, on January 18th @ 8pm, to discuss the possible use of Canonchet Farm. This land could play an integral role in one of the final sections of the bike path.
The Town Council is having a public hearing on Canonchet Farm on January 18, at 8:00 PM in the Council Chambers in the Town Hall, 25 Fifth Avenue, Narragansett. This is the first (and may be the last) public hearing on the topic of a new master plan for Canonchet Farm, and it is very important that people attend to show their interest and comment on features of the plan. There has been some insider trading between one Town Councilor, the Town Planner, and the Chairman of the Planning Board in developing the recommendations of the Planning Board.
