Thanks to the folks over at GPVD for the heads up about the next Providence Core Connector Study happening on Monday, April 25, 2011, 4:30PM – 6:00PM at The Commerce Center (30 Exchange Terrace) 1st Floor Conference Room. In particular they will be
considering different transit technology options (streetcar or bus), street design requirements, environmental impacts, traffic and parking considerations, and related issues. Additionally, we are looking at potential development impacts and financing options to determine how a major transit investment could impact development patterns in the downtown core.
It would be great if one or more cycling advocates could attend this meeting. If you can, please let us know and provide us with an update that we can share with the group.
