Perhaps I’m just being utopic, but in my world, I expect police to know the laws, understand the intent of the law, and to be upstanding examples of how other motorists should behave. In the past two days, I’ve had two separate incidents that, unfortunately, had police shaking up my utopic view of the world.… read more

Pedestrian Neglect
I was traveing into work this morning, when I noticed a pedestrian patiently waiting by the side of the road at a crosswalk. I took the lane and blocked the traffic on my side of the road, so the pedestrian could cross. As the pedestrian and I patiently waited for four more cars going the… read more
paean
I think we all remember our first bikes, or at least the first with which we really conquered the neighborhood. Mine was blue, freckled with rust, with a big banana seat and ape hanger bars, great for popping wheelies and riding hands-free. No Respect
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve become increasingly annoyed by the way various cities and organizations have been handling snow removal. Most of these articles, as they should be, will be targeted at reminding motorists to slow down, obey the school zones, and be patient with the school buses. In… read more
Our Turn
It seems even the Henderson Bridge is more crowded these days and this morning was no exception. As I pedaled across the bridge, cars were backed up well onto the bridge. It felt so great to go flying by them all as they sat in traffic waiting their turn. As I road past the cars,… read more
Park Wherever You Want
I was just about home last night, when I passed a car parked on the sidewalk just down the street. For whatever reason, I decided to actual try and do something about it this time. So I called the non-emergency police number and told the dispatcher that they could score an easy ticket, as there… read more
