The Sierra Club is sponsoring a bicycle haiku contest during Bike Month. If you are feeling creative or gifted, then
Just post a photo (taken by you) and haiku (written by you) to the Bike Group at Climate Crossroads. Your entry should celebrate the bicycle as an ingenious, fun, healthy, practical, and economical transportation solution (or as much of that as you can fit in, anyway).
Post your entry before noon PST May 31. A panel of bike geeks on the Sierra Club staff will select three finalists. Then Congressman Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, an avid bicyclist and author of H.R. 4722, the Active Community Transportation Act, will choose the grand prize winner.
The local community would enjoy reading your entry as well, so feel free to post as a comment to this entry.
