ADVOCACY ALERT: Mt. Pleasant Avenue urban trail

January 24, 2020 by Kathleen

Do these people speak for you? They will unless you show up to support the new urban trail on Mt. Pleasant Avenue. The City of Providence is holding a meeting about a new protected bike way on Mt. Pleasant Avenue, a location with several schools and a pedestrian death. The January 28th meeting at Mt. Pleasant High School 434 Mt. Pleasant Avenue will be an open house style event which will allow you to drop in any time between 6:00 and 7:30 pm and stay as long or little as your schedule allows.  Children and other family members are welcome throughout. At the meeting you will have the opportunity to speak indivdually with staff, ask questions and offer comments about the project. The City will gather feedback through those one on one conversations, sticky notes and comment cards.  Don’t let others speak in your stead. Voice your own opinion. Show up and be counted.
