Come out to talk about how bicycles fit in to the transportation mix and enhance the meaning of freedom and mobility. Begun in 1995, Action Speaks is a radio-show series of contemporary topic- driven panel discussions framed by the theme “Underappreciated Dates that Changed America.” Action Speaks in 2012 looks at underappreciated 20th-century moments when the rights of the ‘individual’ and the needs or beliefs of the ‘public’ have clashed and where the line between private and public have been both defined and blurred. The vehicle for this discussion is “Critical Mass”. Members of the panel include Nicole Freedman “bike czar” of Boston. Come out to join in the discussion. Admission is free and open to the public.
