According to a Projo article,
The East Bay Bike Path will be designated as a Rail-Trail Hall of Fame trail by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy on Friday.
The designation will be made formal this Friday during an 11:30am ceremony on the bike path at Thames and Oliver Streets in Bristol. This publicity will certainly help promote the East Bay Bike Path on the national level and, dare I say, help provide an incentive for tourists to come and check it out? The cities surrounding and served by the East Bay Bike Path should take note of this designation and give some serious thought as to how they can add the attraction to their tourist offerings.
