Public Workshop – Bristol/Warren National Grid Public Easement Feasibility Study

September 16, 2013 by RI BIke

easementThe Towns of Warren and Bristol have partnered to study the feasibility of a trail (biking, walking or both) on the National Grid Easement from Child Street in Warren to Tupelo in Bristol.  This path, if found feasible, would offer neighborhoods in Warren and Bristol a pedestrian link off of Metacom Avenue and create access to Bristol’s new recreation area, Perry Farm.  See the National Grid Power Line Easement aerial map for details about the area in question.

After completing base maps of the area, the Towns and their consultants, Horsley Witten and Bradford Associates, are ready to discuss the study with residents.  The meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30 p.m. The Audubon Society of Rhode Island has generously offered their auditorium at 1401 Hope Street in Bristol for this workshop.   Directions to the Audubon can be found at: http://www.asri.org/contact-info/environmental-education-center-in-bristol-ri.html
