His Funeral will begin on Monday at 8 AM from the Rebello funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be at RI Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to RI Bicycle Coalition, PO Box 2454, Providence, RI 02906 or Home and Hospice Care of RI 1085 No. Main St., Providence, RI 02904
RIBike is honored to be listed by George’s family as one of the charities to honor George. It’s going to be a challenge to find the right project to match any donations, but I certainly think we can find a solid group of cyclists to set their minds to the task.
I’ve also be pondering some sort of memorial ride in honor of George. A trip, similar to The Ride of Silence along the length of the EBBP certainly seems to be fitting.
