2nd Annual Woony River Ride Announced

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

Explore the Woonasquatucket River from Providence to bucolic North Smithfield on this annual 50/23/10/5 mile bike-a-thon; a fundraiser for the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council.
The 50/23/10 mile rides START and END at Waterplace Park in Downtown Providence:
• 8:00am – 50 mile ride
• 9:30am – 23 mile ride
• 10:30am – 10 mile ride

The 5 mile family friendly ride/walk STARTS and ENDS at Riverside Park – 50 Aleppo Street in Providence:
• 11:00am – 5 mile ride/walk

Registration: Individuals: $30 Families: $40

There is also a Team Fundraising competition, team with the most funds raised will earn bragging rights and prizes.

Sponsorship and registration fees help manage the cost of the event and provide organizational support to the WRWC in year-round efforts to maintain, provide programs, and move forward the Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway Bike Path.
