New England Bike-Walk Summit Returns!

New England Bike-Walk Summit Returns!

The New England Bike-Walk Summit returns to RI this fall! On Friday, October 4, stakeholders from all over New England will descend on Providence for a full day of breakout sessions, field visits, and networking. Speakers include Andy Clarke (President, League of American Bicyclists) and Keith Laughlin (President, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy)! Presenters are being sought right now; you can find the Call for Presentations, registration info, and much more on the Summit website.

As always, the New England Builders’ Ball, our region’s only handbuilt bike show, immediately follows the conference, the evening of October 4, in the Grand Ballroom of the Providence Biltmore.  And all that weekend we’ll have world-class cyclocross racing at the Providence Cyclocross Festival, in Roger Williams Park.  In case that’s not enough for ya: Gran Fondo New England that Sunday!

Stay tuned for more info on all of these events packed into one amazing autumn weekend in Providence!

I hope folks in the Rhode Island bike community will attend the summit and also come to a "Rhode Island" session, 8am on Friday morning in the Biltmore, to have a conversation about bike issues in our state.
