Full Moon Bike Ride

Full Moon Bike Ride

Meet at the wee hours of May 28th on the Point Street Bridge in Providence for a Full Moon Bike Ride.

Wild animals on two wheels. The roar of bicycle tires among the silence of midnight under the light of the full moon. Bring a sweater for the first five minutes and a bag for you sweater for most of the ride. Route established spontaneously by consensus.

Also, make sure you have bike lights – head lights make it safe. Only other rule: Don’t act like a moron.

I am going to assume that the date is May28th (1230am-230am) which makes it a two hour ride vs. a 26 hour ride. Do many people show to this ride?

Thanks for pointing out the time discrepency! Yes, the ride starts on May 28th @ 12:30am. We have no clue how many people will show, to my knowledge, this is ther first time the ride has ever happened here in Providence.

Here's what a group night urban ride looks like in LA…

Tall bikes and wheel lights are cool! MTB's would be more practical. But Providence doesn't have much of a night life compared to LA or NY.

    is this clothed or naked?

When I lived in Chicago, clothing was always optional. I was yonger then too!

Too bad it's a school night. Would make getting to work a 7:30am Friday May 28th a drag.

Come on Bruce, we aren't that old yet. Just get a nap earlier, then get up for the ride and stay up until work. Think of all the extra miles you can get in between 2:30am and 7:30am 😉

In the future, if we start the ride at 11:59pm, it will be less confusing.

That is 11:59pm on May 27th. That way everyone knows that its Thursday night.

To clarify, as there is conflicting information in this string of comments, the ride begins one minute before midnight. 11:59 pm tonight.
