Procycle 2009 Art Show is worth seeing!

ProcycleHndblI finally saw the Procycle Art show in Pawtucket and strongly recommend that the bike community try to stop in and see it too. It is at the Machines With Magnets (MWM) Gallery, 400 Main St, Pawtucket (near Park, from Prov by car use downtown Exit 27, take first left, right on Main, free parking on Park or in a muni lot to the back) hours 1 to 9pm daily thru Nov 29 except Monday and Thanksgiving Day, so there is not that much time left to see it.

Bike related items in the show include two excellent short (but very different) films, paintings in multiple styles, photos, sculptures and the Frank Cabral “ghost bike.” There is also a distribution of state bike maps and our safety brochure, the show helps spread the message of bicycling and bicycling safely. I think thanks are due to those that arranged, sponsored (Providence Bicycle, Whole Foods, Machineswithmagnets) and exhibited at the show.

The show was reviewed in the Nov 13 Phoenix, page 18.

Don't wait until the 29th, despite ad. Plan to begin disassembling that Sunday. There are 70 pieces of art, truckloads, to box and move… unless it all sells in the meantime.

Artworks are priced from $10, with majority in the $100 to $300 range, so quite affordable.

Consider putting a green, health conscious, sustainable "bike" under your holiday tree…
