Gallery Night – May 19th



The first of a series of 2011 Gallery Nights is coming up on May 19th.  This night will feature a guided bike tour of art:

Leave + return: Regency Plaza, Greene Street (free parking)
Gallery Night Providence offers another season of guided bicycle tours of art. Each Gallery Night, May through September, weather permitting, guided bike tours will leave Regency Plaza, Greene Street, at 5:30pm. Tours are expected to last two hours. 

Susan Sakash is a musician and community artist in Providence, RI. She is currently the Director of Development at Southside Community Land Trust, an urban agriculture non-profit, and has taught a youth street band out of as220 Youth Studios. In 2008-2009 she was a Program Associate at RISD | Public Engagement. Susan plays trombone locally with the What Cheer? Brigade and also helps organize the PRONK! Festival.

When not bicycling, Peter Goldberg is a freelance photographer specializing in editorial and commercial photography. Known for his non-obtrusive shooting style, Peter shoots regularly for a wide variety of clients, including Rhode Island Monthly Magazine, Fidelity Investments, The Gamm Theatre, Johnson & Wales University, Brown University, and Embolden Design. From 2000 to 2002 Peter worked for Providence Mayor, Buddy Cianci, as the City Photographer. Peter’s photographs have been exhibited a number of galleries including, The Rhode Island Foundation, AS220, The Providence Art Club. Peter graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1988.
