Reports are coming in that the fences are down and the bike path is open! Commuters noted some workers still around, but there were able to enjoy their first Pawtucket Ave. free commute since it was closed. Fortunately, it is just in time for Bike to Work Day this Friday!

The House Committee on Municipal Government will be hearing testimony regarding a Complete Streets bill (H7352). The City of East Providence is continuing with its plan to close a 2.5 mile section of the East Bay Bike Path in order to install a new sewer line from Watchemoket Cove to the Bullocks Point treatment facility. The closure will start November 1, 2011 and is expected to last 5.5 months. The

According to Associated Press, RIDOT will be performing maintenance on the East Bay Path in the evenings and overnight this week.
