The final inspection of the bike lanes is scheduled in about two weeks time. We should see a full array of signs and pavement markings by then. I also think the lanes will need to be swept by then as well.

I rode through the curb cut this morning, just to see what it was like. While I still think it's an accident waiting to happen, it was manageable. Of course, it was a raining Saturday morning and not during rush hour.

I think it's still an improvement, from what we had before. The real issue is enforcing the speed limit on the bridge.

I just received an email from RIDOT. While this won't fix the immediate problems, it was pointed out that the Henderson Bridge is included for rehabilitation in the 2009-2012 tip. Perhaps it's time to shift our focus to doing it right the next time around.
