East Bay Bike Train Going High Tech
May 8th, 2009 | By Mark Dieterich | Category: CommutingIn the past couple of days, I figured out how to use my phone to post real time location data on the internet. So, starting next Monday, the East Bay Bike Train will be feeding live position data to the web during the commute. Hopefully, this will help me post better estimates on the static map and help those who are interested in catching the train, to know when we will arrive.
If you live on the East Bay and have been thinking about bicycle commuting, we’d love to have you join us. We keep the pace very moderate, so almost anyone who can ride the 15 miles should be able to keep up with us. Hope to see you soon!

How cool is it that you guys can do this? Real time mapping of a bike train! Fantastic! Now, if we could get RIPTA to provide the same info…
That makes me want to ride all the way down there just to play on your “train”.
